St George's Primary 4 have just taken part in a special drama workshop covering certain aspects of the history of World War II, from pre-war home life and radio broadcasts at the outbreak of the war, to rationing and the Anderson bomb shelter.
In the first years of the Blitz, (Blitz was the German word for 'lightning'), Anderson shelters were provided by the government, and 150,000 of these were distributed to houses with gardens.
