Admissions
At St George's we embrace diversity and develop individuals.
We welcome very able students as well as students who are
challenged in their learning or who have physical challenges, as we
support them all in being all they can be.
In feeding their self esteem in a caring nurturing environment
they are motivated and aspirational and do very well.
Our academic results are consistently outstanding with 98% of
our leavers going on to higher education and everyone gaining the
qualifications, competence, confidence and skill to continue her
education in doing something she will be happy and successful
in.
Ethos
Our ethos is clearly understood by our community and
is reflected in the quote below from a parent, relatively new to
the school, who had just received the newsletter informing parents
that we were top of the examination league tables in both English
and Scottish qualifications:
"I was very interested to receive the newsletter with
details of the best schools league table achievements. From our
short experience to date of St George's we agree it is
outstanding! To be able to achieve such good results as well
as offer a kindly and caring culture is extremely impressive - well
done to you all"
Flexibility is our middle name in the way we strive to meet
individual needs. The range and diversity of the courses we offer
for both English and Scottish qualifications, as well as skills
courses, ensure that there is something for everyone.
Our students learn in an international context and are
encouraged to think globally right from Early Years so that they
develop the adaptive capacity to live and work anywhere in the
world.
Most importantly they are happy and well adjusted and when that
is the case, everything is possible.
