Staff continually strive to build and
maintain a supportive and inclusive internal
community.
By the same token, they
appreciate the school's responsibility to build and maintain links
with wider society, and give their time to support a wide number of
networks, including alliances with other schools and organisations
not just in Edinburgh but all across the world.
From the Royal School for the Blind to exchange arrangements
with schools in Europe, North America, Australia and South
Africa, not to mention "St George's" school
in Madras, India, which was built with support from St
George's in 2000.
In addition, links with various organisations such as the Duke
of Edinburgh Award scheme, and the National Youth Orchestra are
very important to staff and pupils alike.
