Primary
Feeling happy and well supported is a great
platform for learning and our school is a place where everyone is
learning together.
Welcome to St George's Junior School where, through P1 to P5
(ages 5-9 years old), our girls experience a happy, active,
stimulating and secure learning environment. We focus on the
individual needs of every one of our pupils to allow each girl to
reach her potential.
Girls are taught in small classes by their individual class
teacher and this is enhanced with specialist teaching in Music,
Physical Education, Art, French and in P4 and P5, Chinese. Learning
takes place outside the classroom too and as well as experiencing
many educational trips, our own wonderful school grounds provide
rich learning opportunities.
International Education
International Education is now embedded in the Junior School
Curriculum and every year group has a focus country to which
they are actively linked: sharing learning experiences and
building relationships with children around the world, preparing
them for living and working in a global society.
Our extra-curricular programme is wide and varied and offers a
range of very exciting activities, catering for all tastes and
talents.
Lower School
After P5, girls move to P6 (10 year olds) which is on our Lower
School Campus. As in P5, classes are taught by a class teacher
with support in specialist subject areas.
We ensure a smooth transition into Lower School through close
communication with P6 staff and in Summer term the P5 girls visit
Lower School on several occasions to familiarise themselves with
their new environment.
